Barcelona have officially put up Ousmane Dembele on the transfer market after a series of problems on and off the pitch and with the player failing to fill in the void vacated by PSG star, Neymar.
According to Spanish outlet, Sport, the Blaugranas are desperate to raise funds for huge transfers this summer and will be looking to sell the French player for a considerable large sum as they look to recoup the money spent on the former Dortmund player.
The duo of Atletico Madrid star, Antoinne Griezmann and PSG star, Neymar have repeatedly been linked to a move to Camp Nou.
Ousmane Dembele is the player who is going to have to give way for the double-swoop and he has been transfer listed with Bayern and Liverpool lurking around to make a last minute deal.
Liverpool first registered interest in the young prospect last season and are rumoured to still uphold interest in the forward.
Though, Dembele’s release clause is put at €100 million, PSG are unlikely to accept any fee less than the €222 million for which they copped him from Barcelona.
That said, the Blaugranas would have to make a big summer sale if they are to remain compliant with Financial Fair Play regulations.
Dembele made a switch to Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 to replace a departing Neymar but a bout of injuries and a party lifestyle have greatly hampered his chances of doing just that. I two seasons, the French man has played only 65 times, netting 18 goals in that time.
Jurgen Klopp has also shown interest in signing Dembele as an option to challenge his regular front three who could be shaken up by anytime due to injuries with Salah and Mane away for the Africa Cup of Nations and Firmino for the Copa America.
