Betty Wright Passes Away At The Age Of 66

American legendary Soul and R&B singer,  Betty Wright, born Bessie Regina Norris has died at 66.

She rose to fame in the 1970s with hits such as “Clean Up Woman”, and “Tonight is the Night”.

On Sunday, May 10, her family confirmed that she passed away through an official statement on her Instagram page. However, the cause of death was not revealed.

In the official statement, her family wrote, “We know that there are so many people that have been impacted by her life, love, and light; and may want to share in the remembering of her. Out of respect for the family, we would like to keep this solemn time of bereavement and loss private.”
