Ibrahimovic Says Goodbye to MLS Side, LA Galaxy
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has declared his intention to call it quit on his time in America with MLS side, LA Galaxy. The 38-year-old announced that he will no longer be representing the MLS side once his contract expires on December 31.
The Swede has spent two seasons at LA Galaxy where he’s found the net 53 times and turned provider on 14 occasions in 58 appearances.
However, his final match for the side ended in defeat, as his Galaxy side lost to Los Angeles FC in the MLS Cup playoffs conference semi-finals.
Ibrahimovic took to his verified Twitter handle to make this known, thanking fans of the club for making him feel alive. He was also full of praise for them for helping him ensure that his “story continues”, suggesting that he isn’t any close to retiring.
The Swede ended the post by joking when he said: “now go back to watch baseball.”

In spite of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s incredible tally, LA Galaxy could only manage one playoff game during his time there. In addition, the former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Manchester United striker missed out on the MLS MVP award this year to LAFC’s Carlos Vela, who found the net an MLS record, 34 times.
