Mbappe Breaks Messi Record With 20-Minute Hattrick From The Bench

Kylian Mbappe jumped right into the fray in the 52nd minute but made it look like he had started the game, brushing aside Club Brugge with his 20-minutes hattrick before turning provider for another.

The French man in the process broke a record long held by Barcelona’s talisman, Lionel Messi.

Mbappe has now scored 15 Champions League goals becoming the youngest player to hit that landmark, shattering the record previously set by Messi.

His hattrick helped him to 15 goals in the Chanpions league at the age of 20 years and 306 days, surpassing the record previously set by the 2019 FIFA The Best winner at 21 years and 288 days.

Messi himself had smashed the record set by Real Madrid legend, Raul Gonzalez, who reached the 15-goal mark at the age of 22 years and 163 days.

World Cup winner, Kylian Mbappe is expected to lead the line for PSG when they take on Marseille in France’s top-flight this weekend.

The deadly poacher has been limited to only four starts this term, no thanks to thigh and hamstring injuries.

“I wanted to start and I thought I was going to start, but the coach made his choice and I had to accept it. I also wanted to show that it’s difficult to get by without me,” 20-year-old Mbappe told broadcaster RMC Sport.

“I have to fight to keep my place. It’s been two months since I played a full game. It feels good to come back. My injury is over. I’m 100%,” the world cup winner added.

However, Mbappe wasn’t the only one on fire. Former Inter man, Mauro Icardi netted twice while winger, Angel Di Maria recorded three assists to help his side to the dominating win.

With the win, the Parisians are now five points atop Real Madrid in second place with the Galacticos having pipped Galatasaray with a 1-0 win.
