#183inLagos is currently the number one trend on Nigeria Twitter as Nigeria records 381 new Coronavirus cases and 183 of them are from Lagos.
The statistics of the new cases revealed by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has generated lot of reaction as this is the highest number recorded so far.
Out of the 381 cases, 183 cases are from Lagos, 55 from Kano, 44 from Jigawa.
See Statistics Below:
Many have blamed the higher number of cases on the relaxed lockdown. President Muhammadu Buhari announced a lockdown ease in all states starting on May 5 so that people are allowed to move within their state.
Currently, Nigeria’s total Coronavirus cases are 3526 with 601 recovered cases and 107 recorded death.
Many Nigerians have taken to Twitter to express their despair and fear over the new recorded cases especially in Lagos state.

381 in Nigeria,
With 183 in Lagos,
This is a sour-sweet news.
We should be both happy and sad.
Happy that now we are testing more people. But sad that now we have an idea how much huge the spread is and how much work we have to do.
Now is the time for us all to be sensible.

183 in Lagos, This is horrible. With the relaxed lockdown, it's obvious that the journey has just begun. I hope the government is ready for this.
A country as dense as Nigeria conducting testing as if we are sprinkling salt into a pot of soup is embarrassing.
