Ronaldo Reacts To Being Substituted In Game Against Lokomotiv Moscow

Cristiano Ronaldo was left visibly infuriated as Juventus manager, Maurizio Sarri subbed him off during the closing stages of Juventus victory over Lokomotiv Moscow.

Before the substitution was made, the Italian giants were level with the Russian side and were short of options.

Then Sarri made a shocking move, substituting the Portuguese star for Paulo Dybala with only eight minutes left on the clock to play.

Juventus went ahead after Lokomotiv Moscow’s goalkeeper, Guilherme failed to keep hold of Ronaldo’s low freekick which bounced off the ground before Aaron Ransey slowly poked it inside the net.

The Russian giants then levelled matters in the 13th minute when Aleksey Miranchuk found the net.

The Serie A side were gunning for a winning goal when manager, Sarri opted to replace the rather dormant Ronaldo with Paulo Dybala.

The Portugese star was visibly angry and opted against shaking his manager’s hand as he made way to the bench.

This is the first time the Italian manager subbed the former Real Madrid talisman since his arrival in Turin.

An unimpressed Ronaldo had some words for the Italian gaffer as he walked off the pitch.

The substitution did pay off in the end though as Douglas Costa excellent run in injury time won the game for the Serie A defending Champions.

That victory has secured Juventus’ place in the knockout rounds. That said, they could still be beaten to pole position in the group by Atletico Madrid.

Being subbed off is just one of the terrible things that happened to the Portuguese star on the night. His freekick goal was also stolen by summer signing, Aaron Ramsey.
