Shuga: A Sensational TV Series

The stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV/AIDS face on a daily basis has become more alarming in recent years. A study has shown that more than 1.5 million people in Africa, are infected with this deadly disease called HIV virus. Well, this series MTV Shuga was created in order to educate the general public. This message is mostly directed to young people on the risks of having multiple sexual partners. Furthermore, it encourages them on getting tested for the virus.

The Storyline of MTV Shuga

This series gives an insight into the lives of a group of young adults whose bright future became dim at the expense of lust and secrets. MTV Shuga aired through the whole of Africa and beyond. It became a hit after some seasons and bagged a gold award at the World Media Festival.
